INDIE Magazine — Issue n.17 Cover

Cover illustration for issue 17 of INDIE — Libri per lettori indipendenti, a "Bologna Special" edition published by PDE Promozione (Feltrinelli Group) for the Bologna Children's Book Fair.

The project explores the theme of competition, staging it through a colorful and chaotic crowd of characters drawn from various children's stories.

Conceived as a tribute to Gek Tessaro (who is interviewed in this volume), the illustration visually plays on the textural contrast between the roughness of kraft cardboard collage and the use of traditional painting techniques.
